This work has been commissioned by the Swedish Institute Stockholm, Architects Sweden and the General Consulate of Sweden in Istanbul to adapt the Woodlife Sweden exhibition toolkit for the indoor environment of CerModern Ankara, a historical railroads workshop transformed into a contemporary museum and event space.
Woodlife Sweden toolkit consists of 40 projects which are contemporary examples of designing with wood in Sweden.
The standard exhibition modules have been used but the details of the installment of the posters have been modified and plywood panels have been used to get rid of the double sided tape and plastic consisting boards which are originally proposed to be used by the toolkit.
To create a space of gatherings for the project collaborator AksAnkara, two large desks with a covering sheet of plexiglass have been designed which will work an ongoing exhibition archive for workshops and other side events during the exhibition period.
Modules, desks and TV unit that is showing films related some of the projects in the exhibition are placed to create a cozy, inviting space in the concrete, steel and glass aesthetics of the exhibition venue.
All woodwork has been made by Caglar Ahsap in Izmir, Turkey.
NOBON, Woodlife İsveç sergi el kitabını, çağdaş bir müze ve etkinlik alanına dönüştürülmüş tarihi demiryolları atölyesi CerModern Ankara'nın kapalı ortamına uyarlamak üzere İsveç Stockholm Enstitüsü, Architects Sweden ve İstanbul İsveç Başkonsolosluğu tarafından görevlendirildi.
Woodlife İsveç el kitabı, İsveç'te ahşapla tasarımın çağdaş örnekleri olan 40 projeden oluşmaktadır.
Sergide genel olarak, standart sergi modülleri kullanılmış ama posterlerin montaj detayları değiştirilmiş ve orijinal olarak el kitabı tarafından kullanılması önerilen çift taraflı bant ve plastikten oluşan panolardan kurtulmak için kontrplak paneller kullanılmıştır.
Proje ortaklarından AksAnkara için bir toplanma alanı yaratmak için, sergi süresince atölye çalışmaları ve diğer yan etkinlikler için devam eden bir sergi arşivini olarak işleyecek, üzeri pleksiglas kaplamalı iki büyük masa tasarlandı.
Modüller, masalar ve sergideki bazı projelerle ilgili filmlerin gösterildiği TV ünitesi, sergi mekanının beton, çelik ve cam estetiğinde sıcak ve davetkar bir alan yaratacak şekilde yerleştirildi.
Tüm ahşap işleri İzmir'deki Çağlar Ahşap tarafından yapılmıştır.
