The book is a masterplan study on the recreational areas on the Northern and Southern slopes of Pagos Hill (Kadifekale) that focuses especially on tactical short-term actions. The first one of these actions is creating educational programs for awareness building on history and nature literacy in the surrounding neighborhoods. The second one is the establishment of a physical Hub of events and gatherings for social-cultural services for children and women. The third one is the planning of the use of local plants in landscape design with the aim of starting self-sufficient microhabitats. The last one is the now-realized community garden to support families and a sense of community.

The book starts with a chapter on the history of the area by researcher Ilhan Pınar. The study aimed to be an introduction for the professionals of the municipality from different departments who will be engaged with the area for various projects.

Bu kitap Pagos Tepesi'nin (Kadifekale) Kuzey ve Güney yamaçlarındaki rekreasyon alanlarına dair, özellikle taktiksel kısa vadeli eylemlere odaklanan bir master plan çalışmasıdır. Bu eylemlerden ilki, çevre mahallelerde tarih ve doğa okuryazarlığına dair farkındalık yaratmayı amaçlayan eğitim programları oluşturmaktır. İkincisi, çocuklara ve kadınlara yönelik sosyal-kültürel hizmetler için fiziksel bir etkinlik ve buluşma merkezinin (Hub) kurulmasıdır. Üçüncüsü, kendi kendine yeten mikro habitatların oluşması amacıyla peyzaj tasarımında yerel bitkilerin kullanılmasına yönelik planlamadır. Sonuncusu, aileleri ve bir topluluk duygusunu desteklemek için, bugün artık hayata geçmiş olan mahalle bostanının kurulmasıdır.

Kitap, araştırmacı İlhan Pınar'ın yörenin tarihini anlattığı bölümle başlar. Çalışmanın projeler için alanla ilgilenecek olan belediyenin farklı departmanlarından profesyoneller için bir tanıtım belgesi olması amaçlanmıştır.
